Silkentouch Aesthetics Studio Inc. ("Silkentouch", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (https://silkentouchaesthetics.com) and any treatment we deliver at 695 Coronation Blvd, Unit 6, Cambridge, ON.
1. Information we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, postal code
- Booking details — appointment date, treatment selected, calendar history
- Skin and hair information — concerns, medical history relevant to treatment safety, allergies, photos you authorise us to take for clinical comparison
- Payment details — handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers
- Communications — emails, WhatsApp messages, contact form submissions
- Website usage — IP address, browser, referring URL, pages viewed (via Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookie-free)
2. How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Book, confirm, reschedule and follow up on your treatments
- Personalise treatment recommendations and aftercare instructions
- Send the optional email newsletter and our Skin & Hair Guide PDF when you sign up
- Reply to your questions sent via the website, email or WhatsApp
- Meet legal and clinical record-keeping requirements
- Improve our website and services based on aggregate usage
3. Email and CASL compliance
Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs commercial electronic messages. We only send commercial emails (newsletter, package promotions) to people who have given express consent by ticking the relevant checkbox or opting in directly.
Every commercial email we send includes our identity, business address and a one-click unsubscribe link. We honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You can also email us at [email protected] to stop receiving messages at any time.
4. Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the following service providers, who are contractually required to protect it:
- GoHighLevel — our customer relationship and booking platform (US-based, SOC 2 compliant)
- Cloudflare Pages — our website host (global edge network, no personal data stored beyond standard server logs)
- Google Maps — embedded map on the Contact page (Google's privacy policy applies when you interact with the map)
- Payment processor — handles card transactions; we never see full card details
We may also disclose information when required by law (court order, valid subpoena, regulatory request) or to protect the rights and safety of our clients and staff.
5. Where your information is stored
Our website is served via Cloudflare's global edge network. Our customer relationship system (GoHighLevel) stores client information on servers located in the United States. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We use providers with strong data protection standards.
6. How long we keep information
We retain client treatment records for the period required by Ontario clinical record-keeping standards (typically 10 years from the last treatment). Marketing-only contacts (newsletter subscribers who never booked) are retained until you unsubscribe, and then removed within 90 days.
7. Your rights under PIPEDA
Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) gives you the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw your consent for marketing communications
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) if you believe we've mishandled your information

8. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies — primarily Cloudflare's session and security cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and respects "Do Not Track" headers. We do not run third-party tracking pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics, no advertising trackers) on this website at this time.
The Google Maps embed on our Contact page sets cookies when you interact with it. The GoHighLevel booking widget sets cookies when you open a booking modal. Both are governed by their respective privacy policies.
9. Children's privacy
Silkentouch services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 16, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to current clients by email.
