Laser hair removal for Waterloo — 18 minutes to Cambridge
Our Cambridge studio is about 18 minutes from Uptown Waterloo, 16 from Laurier and 22 from UW's north campus. If you're a student, a co-op commuter or working in Waterloo's tech corridor, here's how to fit a laser course around exams, co-op terms and work weeks — without the package pressure.
Built for schedules that change every four months
A course that works around terms
Laser sessions are spaced 4–6 weeks apart, which lines up neatly with Waterloo's academic calendar. We'll map your sessions around exams, reading week and co-op terms at your consult.
Single sessions, no lock-in
Student budgets and co-op moves don't suit big upfront contracts. Every area can be booked one session at a time, and packages are optional.
Safe for every skin tone
The Soprano ICE diode laser is designed for a wide range of skin tones, including South Asian, Middle Eastern and African complexions (Fitzpatrick IV–VI). Settings are chosen for your skin at your first visit.
Free parking at the door
No campus parking passes or Uptown meters. Free parking is directly outside our studio entrance.
Drive times from Waterloo
From Waterloo, the drive is via Highway 7/8 and the 401. Most of the city is 16–22 minutes from the studio, with free parking as soon as you arrive.
Planning tips for Waterloo clients
- Students: Book sessions in the days after an exam block rather than the week before. There's no downtime, but it's one less thing to schedule in a busy week.
- Co-op terms: Sessions work best 4–6 weeks apart. If a co-op term takes you out of town, tell us at your consult and we'll plan your course around it.
- After work: We're open until 6:30pm Monday to Saturday, so a late-afternoon slot works for most Waterloo work schedules.
Soprano ICE diode laser — how it works for Waterloo clients
We use the Soprano ICE diode laser by Alma, designed for safe, effective hair reduction across every skin tone, including South Asian, Middle Eastern and African complexions (Fitzpatrick IV–VI). Settings are chosen for your skin and hair at your first visit.
A standard course is 6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, and some clients need 1–2 more for the best result. The full treatment guide, before/after examples and every pricing tier are on our main page — read the laser hair removal guide.
What 6 sessions can look like across a UW or Laurier year
Because sessions are 4–6 weeks apart, a full 6-session course takes about 6–8 months. For students, that fits roughly into one academic year: start in September, keep going through the fall term, fit a session around reading week in February and finish in the spring.
Sun exposure matters more than people expect. Avoid tanning on the treatment area before your sessions, which makes winter terms a good time to get most of the course done.
Most clients see 80–90% less hair after 6 sessions, and some need 1–2 more. Results vary by hair colour, skin tone and area.
If you're not sure which area to start with, or whether laser suits your hair and skin, the free 15-minute consultation is the best first step.
