How do I prepare for my laser hair removal appointment?
Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session. Do not wax, thread, or pluck for at least 4 weeks prior — the follicle must be intact for the laser to be effective. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and active skincare ingredients such as retinoids and AHAs on the area for at least one week before treatment. Arrive with clean, product-free skin.
What should I avoid after a laser hair removal session?
For 24–48 hours after treatment avoid direct sun exposure, heat sources such as saunas or hot showers, and active skincare ingredients on the treated area. Apply SPF if the area is exposed to sunlight. Mild redness or warmth in the treated area is normal and typically settles within a few hours.

Unlike older laser systems that use single high-energy pulses, Soprano ICE uses the SHR in-motion method — gradually heating the follicle across multiple passes. This approach is designed to reduce surface discomfort throughout the session.
Why Multiple Sessions Are Needed
Hair grows in three phases — only follicles in the active growth phase respond to laser treatment. Since not all follicles are in the same phase at once, a course of sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart progressively treats each follicle. The number of sessions needed varies by individual.
